Tectonic plates are part of the outer layer of the earth the way icing coats a cake. The outer layer of the earth is somewhat like stale icing, in that the outer icing layer is cooling and drying out. When this occurs, the outer layer cracks and comes apart. The linked cake-cookies approximates what tectonic plates look like.

"Oxidation is named after oxygen,which is good at stripping electrons from molecules; to help you remember, think of oxygen as being caustic or destructive, like a paint-stripper. Oxidation strips off the electron paint, whereas reduction has the blanketing effect of a fresh coat of paint." That is blanketing with a coat of new molecules coated on another molecule.

Generally , Art over the last 100 years or so has been characterized by a transition from representational to NON-representational form. What does this mean? The series of prints from Roy Lichtenstein's "Bull Series" has 6 pieces. The first being a Bull and then the next prints showing the Bull being abstracted into basic geometric elements of line and circle and also basic color elements of yellow, blue and red. This series not only demonstrates how this artist can imagine, but encapsulates what many artists believe art is as such.
